Property Overview

A peninsula that fronts Long Island Sound and the mouth of the Housatonic River, with a coastal meadow and a beach that faces north toward Milford Point. At Stratford Point, you are about as far out into Long Island Sound as you can get and still be in mainland Connecticut. As a result, the panoramic views of water and shore — and birds — are extraordinary. Researchers from Sacred Heart University are studying how an artificial reef can help protect the shoreline during storms while also improving habitat for tidal and estuarine animals and plants.
