The ecological value of land set aside for birds and other wildlife almost always fades over time if it’s not maintained and improved. Which means we need to work to keep preserved land in good shape.
Habitat improvement helps birds, insects, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals. It also allows undeveloped land to continue to store carbon, making these projects increasingly important in the effort to control the effects of climate change.
